It all began on the plains of Minnesota…well, maybe not the plains, it was actually a hospital in Minneapolis in the year 1944. People ask me if I do much research for my writing and the answer is no. You see I have lived a long time and I find that has provided me with all the information I need to complete my stories.
My major problem was that I didn’t start writing seriously until I was in my last year of my 41st year of teaching and was given a laptop computer. That made all the difference. Once I started writing, I couldn’t stop and five months later, I had my first novel completed. Now three and a half years later, I am finishing up my fourth.
Along with the computer, I had gained the self discipline that is needed to accomplish such a monumental undertaking, which writing a novel was. My plan is to write at least ten novels before I leave this mortal plain, but that is only if I continue to enjoy it. If writing becomes a job, I will move onto something else.
